Position Objective:

The TAT National Sales Director, FPG will lead the centralized Tatum Financial Project Group sales support, driving profitability via excellent execution and service delivery. With an elevated level of empowerment, this position will have the ability to expedite the resolution of issues within the organization, address needs more quickly and represent the operations protocols to clients, staff and others within the organization. The National Sales Director, FPG will lead by example with own production goals and manage a team of direct reports.

This role will exhibit strong business acumen and is a hands-on executor of initiatives. Develops processes, strategy, and skills to improve sales productivity; leader by example particularly in the area of production; manage the sale of products/services to achieve agreed end result; implement business plan; multi-site management; foster strategic alliances, business partnerships, and relationships with key clients (internal and external). This person will:

Position Summary
Lead/Grow/Develop:

  • Oversee direct staff, ensuring that they are appropriately equipped with the knowledge, training and tools to effectively execute their jobs. Includes hiring staff.
  • Lead, engage, mentor, motivate, develop and grow direct reports in tandem with business, holding others accountable, having coaching conversations, conducting quarterly Great Conversations, and ensuring Individual Development Plans & MAP goals are in place. Accountable for teams’ career mobility, retention, and engagement.
  • Monitor the progress of teams by identifying areas of opportunity. Develops “bench” and creates succession plans and always looks to hire a replacement.
  • Leads by example in the areas of production, business continuity, and human forward model.

Business Development:

  • Personal GP quota through engaging in new client development sales activities. Activities include but are not limited to: sales and business development which includes: sourcing, initial client qualification, identifying potential end users/decision makers, establishing contact relationships, completing company and department profiles, candidate marketing, rate and fee negotiations, identifies cross-selling opportunities, identifies national/third party/vendor on premise opportunities, schedules and conducts new client visits (virtual or by local office), and further development of pre-established Strategic accounts. Community involvement and business networking.
  • Conduct market research and qualify/classify target accounts within assigned geography. Keep abreast of market dynamics and trends within specific markets and regions and forecast client demands.
  • Manager multiple client relationships and engagements. Establish client expectations and effectively communicate to appropriate parties. Advise clients on staffing solutions.
  • Assist in client interview preparation with talent.
  • Engage or work with direct team around client and talent development.

Financial Projects Operations Support:

  • Develop and implement programs and processes that optimize workflow, strengthen organizational effectiveness and efficiency, enhance client services, and maximize growth and profitability.
  • Develop, and implement policies and procedures that are aligned with organizational goals. Specific leadership over compliance, onboarding (internally & externally), key systems and office operations.
  • Manage and monitor compliance and implementation of all contracts for the Financial Projects Group.
  • Comply with federal, state and local legal and Randstad requirements pertaining to talent employment.
  • Provide oversight to ensure that new-hire documentation is complete and that an orientation program is in place and implemented.
  • Provide leadership, setting goals, monitoring work and evaluating results of operations staff and team members to ensure organizational objectives are met.
  • Provide effective connection point to back office teams and optimize Tatum’s engagement of corporate functions.
  • Cultivates and maintains long term collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • Oversee documentation, communication, and training regarding the upgrade of Tatum’s sales systems.

Operational Excellence / Sales:

  • Responsible for accurate completion of all required reports and activity tracking to achieve company KPIs on a timely basis– daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually (Activity Based Field Steering – ABFS).
  • Track, analyze, communicate & manage overall progress of sales & recruiting efforts against activity targets – daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Ensure profitability and health of vertical via key wellness indicators, financial and operational reporting, compliance, pricing, etc.
  • Must meet minimum performance standards as directed by manager. Individual contributor but accomplishes results through combined effort of team. Follows the structure of organizational units or a centralized functional activity.
  • Support client operations by providing top quality service and promptly investigate any talent/client issues or concerns.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s level work a plus

Work Experience

  • 5-7 years of combined business, staffing and sales leadership
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and directing teams
  • Financial or Accounting background preferred
