Randstad is looking for an experienced, analytical, Web and SEO Manager responsible for collaborating with internal clients, vendors and cross functional teams that will focus on understanding users to deliver innovative solutions to delight our end users via web, SEO, and mobile. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver and critical thinker, adept at leveraging new technologies and collaborating with marketers, web developers, designers, and other web stakeholders to increase organic traffic, engage visitors, and generate new business for Randstad.

Collaborating with global and local teams, the Web Manager should be able to effectively create and manage a roadmap, based on user needs, ensuring that prioritization can be iterative and impactful at every stage in order to maximize website performance, improve rankings and drive conversion. The website and therefore this role are responsible for supporting both job seekers (B2C) and clients looking for staffing and solutions (B2B), so balancing both is a must. The Manager of Web and SEO  will also be responsible for monitoring web and mobile analytics, trends and solutioning any challenges in partnership with cross-functional teams. This role requires both technical and content SEO expertise to continuously improve the experience of our customers. Local SEO and Google My Business experience is also desired.

The ideal candidate should have strong, outcome driven, digital project management experience, and be able to partner and communicate with all levels of a matrixed, global organization. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the development and implementation of an overall website and SEO strategy; improving the volume and quality of traffic to Randstad US websites and mobile apps across all devices
  • Manage website optimization efforts including CRO, sitemap, analytics to improve SEO, user experience, and conversion
  • Stay up-to-date on algorithm updates, research on industry and competitor SEO and steward and implement related optimizations
  • Collaborate with local and global business owners to synthesize business concepts and user needs to develop roadmaps.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements and modifications to the website
  • Find, diagnose, and fix website problems, including broken links (both internal and external), typographical errors and formatting inconsistencies
  • Serve as primary liaison with the global product team collaborating to ensure US web requirements are fully understood, development is prioritized and that value is achieved.
  • Analyze web and mobile performance and trends including monitoring, review and update web site traffic reports - maintaining full autonomy and accountability for performance - pivoting testing and product as needed.
  • Steward a data driven mindset with all stakeholders by focusing on results.
  • Become a subject matter expert on all processes required to operate the technologies, including dependencies on other products, systems or business lines.
  • Collaborate on user testing and other research efforts to understand customer needs, product gaps, and translate into future requirements.
  • Manage and execute research to identify, understand, assess, and present technical problems and new opportunities that support an ongoing prioritized backlog of capabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in web production and product management including hands-on experience with CMS systems, identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends in complex website structures, HTML/CSS expertise, SEO skills to optimize organic traffic, Google Analytics knowledge to analyze website engagement and trends.
  • Expert knowledge of digital marketing tactics including SEO, A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), localization, and website performance and best practices
  • Proficient and experienced in optimizing technical SEO indicators such as core web vitals, schema markup, canonicals, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to synthesize user requirements and drive toward a solution that delights all users. The candidate will work with global teams, therefore time and stakeholder management, communication skills, responsiveness are must-haves.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and communicate with all levels of a global, matrixed organization - including Executives, Business owners, analytics, marketing, legal, IT and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of APIs and mobile first development.
  • Experience with relevant software and tools:
    • Issue and requirements tracking – e.g. JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow
    • Data & Analytics - e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
    • CMS - e.g. Drupal, Hubspot
    • SEO - e.g. Conductor, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Search Console
  • Outcome over output mindset is required.
  • Local SEO experience is strongly desired.
  • Both B2B and B2C experience is desired
