Compliance and Diversity Specialist

Behind every efficient and effective compliance and diversity program is an exemplary Compliance & Diversity Specialist. The Compliance & Diversity specialist safeguards organizations against discrimination lawsuits, steep fines, and public relations nightmares by ensuring they comply with all internal and external regulations including but not limited to Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The specialist advocates, tracks, monitors and identifies data trends, provide recommendations for increased compliance efforts and process improvements for maximum utilization. Compliance & Diversity specialist must perform well under pressure, solve complex problems and communicate results accurately and clearly.

Job Responsibilities and Duties of a Compliance & Diversity Specialist

  • Conduct ongoing auditing and reporting on the clients compliance with OFCCP &EEOC regulations
  • Proactively researching to stay up to date with regulations and rules
  • Implement and document all policies and procedures
  • Identifying, analyzing and compile data and statistics on program operations and compliance risks
  • Communicating regulations to internal and external stakeholders clearly, concisely and accurately
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on all compliance-related & diversity-related matters
  • Research and resolves vendor complaints regarding compliance of supplier diversity
  • Provide statistical forecasting and metrics on all aspects of the MBE/SLBE programs
  • Track and monitor contract participation and/or compliance with contract requirements
  • Maintain and/or oversee the maintenance of records and databases
  • Prepare narratives, written reports and recommendations
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with client delivery partners, suppliers and executive staff
  • Conduct compliance & diversity training with internal stakeholders and develop applicable training materials
  • Develop procedures and workflows to meet compliance & diversity standards
  • Participate in planning and coordinating meetings to disseminate program information

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience working with US Federal Government staffing requirements and ensuring compliance to same
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • 1+ years of experience with Google Suite, specifically Google Sheets and Google Docs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Statistical analysis and forecasting experience
  • OFCCP and EEOC compliance auditing experience in the staffing environment
  • Proficiency in business acumen, written & verbal communications, and presentation skills
  • Propensity to complete tasks by established deadlines
  • High level of focus to ensure specific details are followed
