Manager IT Security Architecture and Engineering

An ideal candidate for this role will be engaging, possess a strong balance between technical expertise and business acumen, and embrace opportunities to become a difference maker in a constantly evolving global organization. The successful candidate selected for this highly visible role will work closely with a cross-functional group of risk stakeholders to deliver security architecture, engineering and threat and vulnerability management solutions to stakeholders and Operating Companies located throughout the USA. This role will also be called upon to participate and provide input to help execute the agenda of the global security organization. This position will be a key resource reporting to the Randstad North America Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

What you get to do with us:

  • Develop and oversee a high performing team of security engineers delivering exceptional security services to Randstad users.
  • Work collaboratively with global Randstad security teams and outsourced IT and security service providers
  • Partner with technology and business teams to identify, assess, and remediate cyber threats and risks that can impact our business
  • Lead, architect, and execute technical security projects, including, but not limited to the following:
    • Endpoint protection
    • Identity and access management (IAM)
    • Data loss prevention (DLP)
    • Network security
    • Cloud security
    • Vulnerability management
    • Security event and alert monitoring
  • Plan, conduct, and review results from internal and external vulnerability scans and penetration tests providing consultative guidance to IT infrastructure and application teams on remediation activities
  • Identify, document and clearly communicate security requirements to IT infrastructure and application teams for on-prem, cloud and SaaS solutions
  • Analyze security-related incident tickets submitted by IT, business, and field stakeholders and propose appropriate solutions
  • Assist with the execution of the Security Incident Response Process and recurring incident response training exercises
  • Participate in the IT change management meetings and provide subject matter expertise on security-related IT change requests
  • Assist with the planning and execution of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and other contingency planning activities. Own portions of the plan applicable to the areas the security team manages.
  • Administer the IT crisis communications alert notification solution

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of managing high performing technical teams
  • 5+ years hands-on security architecture, engineering and/or threat & vulnerability management experience
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal communications skills
  • Effective relationship and consensus building skills
  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing security tools (e.g., McAfee, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, CyberArk, SailPoint, Rapid7, Varonis) 
  • Experience securing cloud environments (Google Workspace preferred)
  • CISSP or GIAC equivalent certification preferred
