Position Title: Lead QA Analyst

External Description:

Objective
The Lead QA Analyst is responsible for all quality assurance and software testing related activities as they pertain to enhancements, projects and bug fixes. This individual will lead a small team of QA analysts as well as develop and execute formal test plans and test cases to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. They will work closely with Business Analysts and Developers to create test plans, coordinate and drive the overall testing initiative, develop test cases and execute manual testing. This individual is also responsible for documenting and improving QA process and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the work of the team and develops others
  • Systems, process and business SME
  • Mentor anyone performing in a QA capacity
  • Develops creative solutions for testing strategies and tooling choices
  • Create Test Plans for testing each project/effort with assistance from the Business Analyst and Development teams
  • Develop, maintain and execute individual test cases for all project requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive product regression test suite based on project and operational initiatives
  • Identify and track bugs to resolution
  • Provide direction for automation strategy and tooling within each project
  • Track quality assurance metrics such as defect count, test results and test status
  • Review progress toward Test Plan regularly with Project Manager and/or appropriate team members (overall Test Coordination)
  • Recommend and direct improvements to the testing and software development lifecycle (SDLC) process
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to IT teams on QA methodologies and processes
  • Provides daily direction to the QA analysts (3-5) on the team and anyone else performing in a testing capacity
  • Hold team members accountable as it relates to our processes and standards

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience

  • 10+ yrs Test Planning & Coordination, Test Execution, defect management
  • 5+ yrs experience with SQL
  • 2+ yrs Test Automation (selenium, puppeteer, automation anywhere, UFT/QTP, or equivalent tooling)
  • Preferred experience in Staffing or a Service Industry
  • Experience working on multiple projects/teams using Agile methodology and associated ceremonies
  • Jira, testrail or equivalent experience
  • Worked in software quality assurance
