JOB SUMMARY:

The SOW MSP Senior Program Director is responsible for developing and leading a global client SOW MSP (Managed Service Program) Procured Services Management solution. The SOW MSP Senior Program Director provides strategic direction and senior operational leadership of a global account.  The role is also responsible for driving revenue growth while leading and motivating a global delivery team to ensuring clients receive added value and strategic level expertise.  The SOW MSP Senior Program Director works closely with client operational leadership, procurement stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure program services are aligned to changing needs and contractual service levels. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Account Leadership
    • Develops strong client relationships, communicate client requirements to internal operations and business, and provide innovative solutions to solve client needs 
    • Establishes and maintains effective client relationships to assess, recommend and extend our services within the account to promote new business opportunities as appropriate (e.g. cost savings, process improvement)
    • Develops and refines global client account strategies, identifies areas for improvement, and implements solutions needed to improve customer experience
    • Ensures compliance, risk, and data protection - accountable to identify and report risks and handle data in accordance with the highest standards of data protection
    • Gathers market intelligence and develops thought leadership to inform client strategies and program outcomes; align with client business objectives
    • Serves as spokesperson for innovative SOW MSP procured service management strategies and process optimization to internal and external stakeholders globally
    • Works to ensure a cohesive and highly motivated global account team environment with the responsibility to foster effective knowledge share and skill transfer across global teams

 

  • Client Delivery Execution
    • Serves as RSR client SOW MSP procured service management program focal for all executive client stakeholders across the account and develops partnering relationships with client program sponsor and project buyer communities
    • Responsible for client operations and service aspects as well as for the implementation, direction, quality and compliance program adherence, financial goals, and management of an MSP with multiple sites and suppliers
    • Provides escalation management of global client issues, ensure timely resolution, direct corrective action as needed 
    • Liaises with contractual and legal issues where client involvement is required
    • Confirms client’s needed procedural changes and develops/deploys communication plans to impacted suppliers and client users in a timely manner
    • Establishes global account performance expectations to ensure KPI’s and SLA’s are exceeded
    • Collaborates with RSR VMS and Business Analysts to ensure program performance reporting is available to key client stakeholders and performs insightful analysis of operating data; to make recommendations or lead changes to program delivery model or technology
    • Use performance feedback and analysis to make recommendations on optimal Supplier utilization or needed rationalization actions
    • Assess client’s service perception via surveys, site visits, and roundtable forums
    • Accountable for monthly/quarterly reporting of the MSP on the various metrics that have been established for the program
    • Provides customers with regular updates regarding the program delivery, including latest industry trends, best practices internally and externally as well as potential program enhancements
    • Develops deep competency knowledge of the historical and projected buying needs of the client and performance of the service supplier community
    • Drives program evolution while keeping with client's strategic needs and expands program nationally and globally in cooperation with the client
    • Coordinates communicates and leads the change management efforts related to the MSP, both within Randstad and the client
    • Promotes and ensures full use of program VMS systems (and other supporting technology) to ensure optimum, cost-effective, timely, and quality services; escalates technical issues to client sponsor or VMS representatives as needed
    • Ensures development and deployment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to MSP program team, suppliers, and client project buyer communities

 

  • Team Management
    • Coaches and develops the team to develop their potential, to support individuals, and drive performance and behavior using the competency framework and KPI’s to aid and drive performance and retention
    • Establishes metrics and expected performance levels of all team members and provide feedback and coaching where appropriate - set goals to help prioritize resources
    • Ensures all global people management processes are carried out in line with company policy
    • Ensures team goals are aligned to meet SLAs and budget
    • Enlists key subject matter experts to create and deliver training where necessary on the appropriate skills and techniques needed to achieve results 
    • Ensures managers provide appropriate induction, development, reward, and succession planning opportunities to engage team members
    • Provides assigned resources adequate oversight, training, and leadership to ensure they reach potential
    • Acts as the day-to-day escalation contact for program resources within the account
    • Demonstrate inspirational leadership and lead by example
    • Reports to Regional, Category, or Program Vice President and continues governance, leadership, liaison, and SME responsibilities down to subordinate program team
    • Travel will be required - works under minimal supervision

 

  • Financial Performance Accountability
    • Ensures the delivery of the overall solution meets budget and time goals globally
    • Responsible for managing the account P&L to include leadership in forecasting and budgeting process
    • Manages expenses responsibly within agreed parameters
    • Directs audit of all invoices and billing accruals, as needed 
    • Maintains knowledge of contract schedules & contractual terms and with the ability to execute against them

 

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Procurement, business, or a related field with a minimum of 6-12 years experience in a corporate or outsourced procurement function
  • Minimum of three years experience in managing a functional procurement group handling significant processing volumes with several staff buyers or category specialists under the supervision
  • A minimum of at least three years experience in a role with global responsibility is required
  • Proven procurement track record progression from Buyer roles to Procurement Category Lead roles (preferably with a concentration in IT category and other professional services / indirect spend)
