I-9 E-verify process lead coordinator

 

This position is responsible for leading the I-9 E-verify process for all new U.S. salaried employees. This position reports to the onboarding supervisor within the TA&O organization. This role will provide the unique opportunity to establish a wide internal network and build strong partnerships across the several onboarding partners and stakeholders. 

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Council, educate, and support onboarding team, talent advisors, hiring manages and HRBO partners on the I-9 E-verify process 
  • Responsible for ensuring correct and timely completion of all I-9 E-verify forms for new employees
  • Handle new hire inquiries/communication related to the requirements/completion of their I-9 E-verify form 
  • Serve as the liaison between the new hire, hiring manager, visa verification lead, HRBO, internal and external counsel to address any inquiries pertaining to an I-9 E-verify case
  • Conduct weekly audit to identify TNC open cases and ensure their timely resolution
  • Work closely with the Onboarding lead to ensure accuracy of weekly E-verify new hire report
  • Assist TA’s with the E-verify location verification process prior to an offer being extended
  • Manage the escalation process for I-9 E-verify cases
  • Support the onboarding team with the I-9 overall process as needed

 

Position qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent required
  • Excellent presentation, collaboration, and verbal & written communication skills
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft office technology
  • Ability to work independently and in a team 
  • Strong organization and case management skills 
  • Previous experience with handling I-9 forms and E-verify process would be a plus
  • This position will require in person interface with new hires. The candidate must be able to work out of the Dearborn,MI area
