Position Title: Vice President, National Sales

External Description:

This position is specifically targeting the Biotech/Life Science vertical, and is responsible for identifying and generating new business through outside sales activities such as cold calls, prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning and relationship building. This position is accountable for focusing on and generating business through new sales in primarily large size accounts. This position will also deal most frequently with senior management within the client’s organization, develop process, strategy, and skills to improve sales productivity; leader by example particularly in the area of production; manage sale and delivery of products/services to achieve agreed end result; implement business plan; multi-site management; budget/forecast management; foster strategic alliances, business partnerships, and relationships with key clients. This position will work with all levels within Randstad, internal networking and brand management is a must. 

Education

  • Minimum High School or GED
  • College degree required
  • Additional education preferred

Work Experience

  •  5 – 7 years of related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in an outside sales capacity
  • Bio-Technology/Life Science sales/sourcing/procurement experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Successful track record of selling large size accounts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts or projects
  • Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements
  • Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • May be responsible for a specific area of specialization
  • Proficient using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
