Position Title: Content Marketing Director

External Description:

Position Objective
Research, evaluate, formulate, implement and lead a content strategy that will drive business success. Manage personas, determine targeted content needs by audience, draft content, manage the creation of content, proof and share all content that will support the content strategy; and enhance the current content matrix to clearly define the purpose and audience of all new content templates. Research and write 45 to 65% of content and manage production of balance via freelancers. Scope to include both copywriting and design of all content such as: website and all digital content, SEO, SEO analysis, whitepapers, case studies, campaign messaging, prospecting scripts, webinars, social posts, etc. Manage delivery of products/services to achieve an agreed end result; budget accountability; goals and objectives management. Be a strategic thinker, collaborate with team and develop and maintain productive relationships with the Spherion community and colleagues.


Duties and Responsibilites

  • Lead thought leadership and content initiatives by researching, brainstorming and developing a content strategy to support business objectives
  • Apply conceptual strategy to day-to-day projects and national programs through completion while managing/updating the content calendar
  • Draft, optimize and publish content for various mediums like website, ads, billboards, webinars, etc by target audience that amplifies our brand personality
  • Develop future templates to allow for ease of content creation by freelancers
  • Manage additional content being created by freelancers
  • Keep personas updated and fresh
  • Align with PR Agency and stay aware of changes within industry and able to adjust plans accordingly

Requirements Preferred

  • 8 Year / Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 Years Copy Writing and Content Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with Google
  • Experience in persona and journey mapping
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Experience with Sandler Sales Method
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts or projects
  • Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements
  • Must be detail oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Experience working with copy and design freelancers
  • Proof points at “getting the job done”
