Cisco’s University Relations team seeks a highly motivated and passionate team player who can partner with the UR team around coordinating events associated with recruiting activities at numerous universities across the United States.  The University Specialist works in close partnership with University Managers to implement recruiting strategies at key schools to brand Cisco as an Employer of Choice for university students and representatives. University Specialists therefore impact Cisco’s ability to increase its visibility in order to recruit and hire the best talent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between University Manager and University Career Placement Office in order to schedule events on campus (Career Fairs, Information Sessions, etc.), coordinate on campus interviews, and take care of the logistics associated with those events (catering, collateral, shipment of goods, etc.)
  • Ensure that events are properly scheduled through regular meetings with the University Manager as well as discussing strategy and planning for upcoming/new events at universities and plan details accordingly
  • Accurately track candidates that are going through the first round interview process and send appropriate communication to ensure they have applied to the correct position in a timely manner and send evaluation form to interviewer
  • Understand business stakeholder hiring needs in order to coordinate interview schedules and posting job descriptions through university recruitment systems
  • Able to convey problems and/or suggest process improvements in order to support continual progression and success on campus and within the organization
  • Interface with our storage vendor to ensure timely shipment and return of inventory and the ability to communicate suggestions for improvements.
  • Assist Intern/Co-Op Program Manager with summer events geared towards current interns/co-ops
  • Research and assess new channels and innovative recruiting approaches to stay ahead of the competition, promoting the company and increase our talent pool
  • Manage logistical information of each campus event and create weekly report for the University team to review
  • Assigned various University Connection projects as needed, collaborating with other University Connection team members

  • Bachelor's degree required
