The Engineering Recruiter serves as the primary strategic and tactical staffing contact for their assigned business group(s). The recruiter will need to develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization, including short- and long-term business needs and expectations, emerging business opportunities, and environmental factors that may impact the candidate pool. The Recruiter is central to the execution of our vision: The Best People Are Connected to Cisco.

The Recruiter will be responsible for developing/implementing sourcing and fulfillment strategies to support the business objectives. The recruiter will need to build strong, consultative partnerships with hiring managers and internal partners while providing expertise around the recruitment process. The Recruiter will have End-to-End responsibility for strategic planning, attraction, sourcing, selection, and conversion of candidates for both specific requisitions, building a diverse pipeline of highly skilled resources, effectively managing candidate relationships, and selling Cisco as an employer of choice – all to ensure the right talent is available when needed. The CFR will function as the SME for all staffing matters within an assigned geo, providing guidance to Hiring Managers on a variety of broad and/or specific considerations relevant to requisition fulfillment. 

The recruiter will need to be focused on providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally; will collaborate across functions and geos to work on enterprise-wide initiatives that evolve the talent agenda for Cisco. Must possess exemplary organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task, balance competing priorities, and manage the demands of simultaneous processes while still operating with a sense of urgency and thoroughness. Will maintain and update applicant tracking database to ensure accurate candidate status, reports, metrics, and auditable records. 

This role typically requires a BS / BA or equivalent and 1- 3 yrs recruiting experience. Must have proven experience managing the full life cycle recruitment process: source, screen, assess, negotiate and close. Candidate must have strong verbal/written communication and computer skills. Experience recruiting in a high tech environment is strongly preferred. High value is based on professional integrity in all internal and external interactions.
