Position Title: TAT Director, Business Develop

Day to Day Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for managing $2M in revenue annually, while netting a gross profit within our target clients.  By leveraging your existing network, targeting new business and calling-in and meeting with a healthy volume of prospects per week, you will build relationships with key executives and referral sources to generate, develop, and pursue leads and close sales.  Activities include:

  • Qualifying dozens of potential leads per day (cold calling 2.0), leading at least a dozen discovery meetings per week, preparing and presenting proposals, pricing and negotiating contract terms, ensuring engagement contracts are properly executed, and ensuring smooth start-up of new client engagements. Meetings will be in person or on the phone as email is a last resort.
  • Support office team goals by participating in business strategy, marketing and sales meetings. This includes the discussion of sales pipeline, talent pipeline, and current sales performance versus goals and metrics.
  • Ensure key sales activity are entered into our CRM (SalesForce) in a timely, accurate manner that will be measured on a weekly basis; ensure optimal global management and timely collection of receivables for assigned relationship clients.
  • Represent Tatum as an active participant in professional and community associations.

 EDUCATION:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; Business, Accounting or Finance a plus
  •  MBA or additional degree also a plus, as is CPA certification

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of relevant business development (identification and acquisition using traditional and social media tools) and client management experience
  •  A demonstrable track record of consistently delivering $1-$3M in revenue per year
  • Client management experience in a professional service firm, Big 4 advisory or consulting company in the area of Accounting, Finance and Audit, Healthcare and Information Technology
  • Strong professional network in the local market
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex accounts or projects and in executing processes to help ensure client and stakeholder objectives are met
  • An adaptable, collaborative team player with strong soft skills. Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building
