Position Objective
The SVP, Market Development 1 is a strategic leader with territory management responsibility. This person is responsible for driving profitable growth of a specified geography; managing a P&L, and maintaining relationships with C- level contacts within the client’s organization while ensuring consistent product delivery and compliance. The SVP, Market Development is responsible for managing and engaging employees in multiple locations as well as professional sales activities.
The SVP, Market Development role is client focused and sales oriented responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships, and regularly meeting and interacting with clients.
This person manages $30M-$55M million multiple districts. Drive profitable growth of all accounts; manage P&L; sales, client relationships, regional management, team performance management and development. This person will:
Lead/Grow/Develop 20%
- Lead and develop account/management teams to optimize service delivery to clients and produce measurable and cost-effective results that align directly with client’s business drivers
- Oversee the direct staff, ensuring that they are appropriately equipped with the knowledge, training and tools to effectively execute their jobs
Strategic Business Development & Operational Excellence
- Track, analyze and communicate overall progress of sales efforts against activity targets – weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
- Establish, hone and communicate business plans with EVP or above to define and drive strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
- Maintain and grow client relationships, regularly meeting and interacting with clients to understand their needs and proactively address potential issues
- Implement innovative strategies while collaborating with operations to drive peak performance at all times, and sustain high client satisfaction levels
- Develop and effectively communicate quarterly sales strategy and tactical operations plans to drive profitable growth and retention of current book of business
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- Master’s level work a plus
Work Experience
- 8+ year’s minimum of staffing industry experience
- 6+years of people management highly preferred
- 3+years of demonstrated success in selling large accounts, staffing experience highly preferred

- Ability to generate new business in order to execute sales targets
