JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for identifying and generating new business through outside sales activities such as cold calls, prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning and relationship building.  This position is accountable for focusing on and generating business through new sales in primarily large size accounts.  This position will also deal most frequently with senior management within the client’s organization.
Develop process, strategy, and skills to improve sales productivity; leader by example particularly in the area of production; manage sale and delivery of products/services to achieve agreed end result; implement business plan; multi-site management; budget/forecast management; foster strategic alliances, business partnerships, and relationships with key clients
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management for goals and objective achievement
- Interface with appropriate field management to establish pricing for quotes and bids that are consistent with the company’s financial objectives
- Exceed client satisfaction with service delivery
GP/Revenue Responsibility:
- Under $50 million revenue (combined revenue for all sites)
- Develop and implement an effective sales plan to meet or exceed established sales objectives for large size accounts
Freedom to Act/Accountability:
- Guidance given:  Work is performed without appreciable directions.  Determines organizational objectives, interprets company policy and delegates assignments to subordinate managers involving multi-level organizations.   Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-time perspective for desired results
- Policy involvement:  Establishes organizational policies for a major segment of the company.  Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to company policy.
Supervisory/Relationship:
- Generally accomplishes results through middle level managers.  Determines and establishes organizational structure and supervisory relationships subject to top management approval.
- May manage and direct Account Representatives and/or Business Development positions
- Work with direct reports to obtain a clear understanding of client’s needs, culture requirements and skill set requirements
Direct Work Involvement/Complexity:
- Responsible for the successful operation of multi-functional activities of significance to the organization.  Rarely becomes involved in the complexities of day to day operational problems, is more concerned to see that overall strategic intent and performance standards are set and attained
- Perform appropriate prospecting and screening activities to identify qualified prospects for new business development
- Use the consultative sales strategy to effectively overcome client objections and maximize sales activity within assigned territory
- Make formal sales presentations and follow-up calls to prospective new business accounts
Impact:
- Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to major objectives of the organization and would seriously affect the financial, associate, or public relations posture of the company
Liaison:
- Represents the organizational unit as prime internal or customer contact or contract or operations.  Conducts briefings and technical meeting for top management and customer representatives.  Interacts with equivalent level inter-organizational managers concerning matters of significance to the company.
- Establish and maintain good public relations and networking within the community to develop new business
- Collaborate with appropriate internal resources to develop comprehensive sales presentation materials tailored to the account
- Collaborate with internal service staff to ensure that accounts sold are consistent with service resources and candidate pool
 
EDUCATION:
College degree required
Additional education preferred
 
EXPERIENCE:
5 – 7 years of related experience
Minimum of 5 years in an outside sales capacity
 
SKILLS REQUIRED: 
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong customer focus and customer service skills
- Experience presenting to C-level executives
- Successful track record of selling large size accounts
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts or projects
- Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements
- Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
- Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building
- Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills
