JOB SUMMARY:

Department Functions/Objectives:

  • The Recruiting Division performs national and global recruitment for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and device clients through individual production, performance management, employee development, ATS system management/integrations, recruitment technology identification, and coaching/mentoring.
  • The primary role of the position is to align clients’ business objectives with consultants’ career goals to create the ideal match.

Sourcing candidates

  • Proactively seek clinical research professionals through all available recruitment sources and resources, including but not limited to:  Internet, advertising, databases, networking events and internet postings.
  • Seek referrals from existing consultants and candidates.
  • Maintain contact with inactive candidates.
  • Identify and initiate contact with subcontractors and other recruiting sources to fill “hard to fill” job orders.

Interviewing and evaluating candidates

  • Interview candidates in person and via the telephone.
  • Qualify candidates using available job description information, references, technical screens and test sources.
  • Prepare and write candidate summary and revise/finalize resume for client submittal.
  • Document and track screening activity in consultant database.
  • Collect required documentation for client screening including: visa information, background investigation, Corp to Corp documents, etc.
  • Provide candidate follow-up for submittals and current market status.

Coordinating recruiting activities with Sales

  • Exchange information with Sales staff.
  • Coordinate interviews with candidates.
  • Pre-close candidates when setting up the interview with the client.
  • Communicate with Sales available candidates, when necessary.
  • Communicate with Sales current consultants’ contract end dates and update candidate resume for submittals.
  • Partner with Sales for upcoming job needs and any consulting or client issues.
  • Provide Sales leads from references, candidate screens, database, Internet, etc.
  • Update database and Sales in tracking and comments field when candidates are no longer available.

 

Closing and hiring candidates

  • Present job offer to candidates
  • Provide start scenario for candidate (paperwork, start date, notice, etc.)
  • Negotiate terms if necessary and obtain agreement from candidate.
  • Generate necessary paperwork prior to offer (references, background investigation, visa information, etc.).
  • Contact new consultant the day before scheduled start for confirmation and positive follow-up.
  • Maintain monthly contact with each consultant who is working for client.

 

 

 

 

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline strongly preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the staffing industry, healthcare/pharmaceutical industry, or recruitment

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to establish rapport and maintain interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work with many different personality types.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Internet
  • History of social responsibility, i.e., volunteer work, community service
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, while maintaining efficiency
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used recruiting practices and procedures for sourcing and screening in a staffing environment
