The Randstad General Staffing Principal Talent Specialist is a pivotal position that assume full desk responsibilities including assisting clients to define hiring needs, talent attraction, sourcing, matching the best possible candidates with available positions, managing talent once placed, and further development and growth of client relationships. With respect to Talent, the Principle Talent Specialist is responsible for identifying, sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, evaluating, and selecting skilled candidates for submission to clients to fill temporary, temp to hire and full time placement positions. With respect to clients, the Principal Talent Specialist is responsible for continuously building and maintaining strategic partnerships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their businesses, strategic directions, and hiring processes and policies, with the goal of planning to grow and develop accounts and promoting and marketing all available RGS services. The Principal Talent Specialist will be responsible for client negotiations in regards to the bill rate, placement fee and/or conversion fee. The person will also be partnering with the sales team to develop sales strategy by leading with the talent.
The Principal Talent Specialist will independently determine when to focus on marketing, promotion and account management functions or recruiting functions and will exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance that are directly related to the management and operation of the business, including:
Business Development & Account Management
- Maintain strategic partnerships with existing and prospective clients by understanding the clients’ businesses, strategic directions, processes, and policies to identify current and future employment needs within each organization and provide creative and innovative workforce solutions. The Principal Talent Specialist will also focus on staffing opportunities and partner with Sales Executives as appropriate to facilitate such placement opportunities.
- Research and maintain knowledge of and assist clients to understand market conditions and available Talent in a market and analyze and identify opportunities to proactively respond to growing market trends.
- Leverage relationships with clients to uncover additional sales opportunities within the account as well as leveraging reference checks verification to uncover potential new business.
- Work with sales team to assess potential and existing target clients and decision makers within clients and build a portfolio of target clients and adjust the portfolio as necessary and warranted.
- Assess and analyze job openings obtained from clients, identify required qualifications and skills and draft or assist with drafting job postings to maximize recruitment of qualified candidates.
- Ongoing assessment of client satisfaction with talent during any potential guarantee periods and, as necessary, identify and address customer service issues, involving other RGS team members as necessary.
- Improve organizational sales and recruiting efforts by developing long range marketing, promotion and recruiting strategies and execute against growth goals by leveraging relationships and positioning RGS as a multi-dimensional solution with resources to meet a multitude of staffing and permanent placement needs and high-level skill sets.
Talent Sourcing/Management
- Independently research, identify, recruit, screen, conduct in-depth in-person interviews, evaluate, and select candidates for submission to the Principal Talent Specialist’s own clients or to Sales Executives for their consideration for submission to their clients, according to client specific job profiles and workforce forecast
- Leverage multiple technologies to enhance the candidate and client experience, i.e. video interviewing, chat platforms, and elastic search.
- Produce the best client and Talent match by delivering against a consistent and effective recruiting plan ensuring the correct quantity and quality of Talent is maintained in a pipeline aligned with the clients’ needs by using all available methods of candidate attraction.
- Prepare candidates for client interviews at the Principal Talent Specialist’s discretion.
- Perform compensation analyses and prepare and extend competitive offer packages.
- Assist candidates to assess multiple opportunities and determine the optimal fit for the candidate if multiple job opportunities arise.
- Consistent ongoing interaction with placed Talent to identify additional opportunities with clients and future placement opportunities for Talent.
- Ensure compliance and coordinate efforts pertaining to applicant screenings (background, assessments, drug testing) and any client specific requirements as needed and mitigate risks by ensuring compliance with RGS policies and EEO laws, both federal and state.
- The Principal Talent Specialist will oversee the hiring, coaching, performance management, and all disciplinary action up to and including termination for their talent.
Secondary Job Duties
- Perform within RGS operational standards of excellence while using both RGS specific tools and other resources for client development and account management activities and recruitment and selection of Talent and attain or exceed established personal and/or branch profit goals.
- Manage applicable KPIs and the profitability of business by monitoring reports such as Profit & Loss statements (P&Ls), ensuring profitability of account and seeking out opportunities for improvement.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Work experience
- Minimum two years of high-level sales, marketing and/or recruiting experience
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and multi-task and effectively prioritize workload
- Must work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills
- Closing skills and the ability to build lasting relationships built on honesty and integrity

- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
