Position Title: MSP Business Analyst

External Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will provide market and business analytics which may include external economic/global business trends, client specific analytics as well as key performance indicators and change management recommendations.

This position may also act as a Project Manager for all analytic deliverables and will ensure that a quality product will be produced on time and will include requested data

Provides administrative/analytical support; specific operations/support role; project driven; exhibits strong aptitude with various software technologies ; provides some leadership and development of others as needed

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Freedom to act/Accountability:

  • Guidance given: Assignments are received in objective oriented terms. Receives guidance based on client goals and RSR policy. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the client’s objectives and schedules
  • Policy involvement: Follows operating policies. Follows organizational policies

Supervisory/Relationship:

  • Accomplishes results through combined effort of team. Follows the structure of organizational units or a centralized functional activity.

Direct Work Involvement/Complexity:

  • Responsible for all projects assigned . Help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Follows centralized functional projects.
  • Will act as lead analyst, data scientist, business delivery representative with the client in specified forums
  • Performs quality assurance testing of deliverables, provides feedback and clear expectation of responsibility
  • Provides written explanation of results/market trends to MSP Executives and will modify presentation of results based on knowledge of current business trends
  • Develops in-depth and insightful analytics while ensuring optimal design for development and written analysis
  • Owns production of analytic documents and identifies supporting tasks to delegate to team
  • Responsible for research and development of statistical projections/forecasts
  • Develops presentation of data trends and provides insight while communicating design and interpretation best practices to internal and external customers
  • Translates data requirements into technical specifications and works to leverage existing functionality and standardization of scope on reporting products
  • Utilizes case management system to managed, monitor, and track all reporting requests from internal and external clients
  • Can leverage multiple software platforms for synergy and simplification as well as presentment of analytics
  • Willingness to learn how to develop additional data mining, data compiling, data integration, and data visualization skills

Impact:

  • Success will be measured against process efficiency gains, customer satisfaction scores, increased program scope, client savings, and/or heightened alignment with end customer stakeholders

Liaison:

  • Occasional contact with higher level inter-organizational associates concerning projects, operations decisions, business requirements or contractual clarification. Attends briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives

 

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience in business analytics, system automation, and multi-tiered systems

Some experience in the Staffing industry strongly desired

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Outlook – expert user of Microsoft Office Excel and experience with pivot tables, vlookups, and charts
  • Proficient with VMS tools such as Fieldglass or Beeline
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to analyze, explain, and draw logical conclusions from complex operational, financial, regulatory and/or business data
  • Experience describing and documenting specific requirements
  • Must be detail oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
