Position Title: RHC Manager, Onboarding

External Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will have the responsibility of leading the RHC Apprentice Program.  The Apprentice Program is a program for all RHC new hires, including all business lines.  This position will oversee, inspire, and grow a new hire training program for all new hires ensuring they meet 10 TW within a 6 month time frame, ensuring objectives to meet RHC and Randstad US strategic objectives. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Freedom to act/Accountability:

  • Guidance given:  Assignments are received in objective oriented terms.  Provides guidance to subordinate supervisors or high level staff specialists based on organizational goals and company policy.  Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization’s objectives and schedules
  • Policy involvement:  Administers operating policies that affect subordinate multi-level organizational units.  Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to organizational policies

Supervisory/Relationship:

  • Accomplishes results through subordinate supervisors or exempt specialist associates.  Modifies the structure of organizational units or a centralized functional activity subject to senior middle management approval.  Often responsible for managing a staff function of the company
  • Lead, manage, train, develop, and expand a team of recruiters using motivational techniques in line with Randstad’s core values

Direct Work Involvement/Complexity:

  • Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational unit.  Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.  Directly participates in establishing/administering centralized functional projects.  Submits and administers budget schedules and performance standards
  • Evaluate opportunities and direct recruitment efforts accordingly based on our ability to fill, strategic partnerships, and profitability
  • Conduct ongoing internal and external research and benchmarking of leading/best practices, requiring a strong focus on analysis and insight.  Transfer this insight into practical initiatives that can provide tangible results for our business
  • Successfully navigate the vast resources available throughout Randstad to support RHC’s recruitment strategies.  This includes acting as the primary liaison, forging relationships, and working in conjunction with other departments as well as corporate marketing and operations, and other key personnel within the organization’s operating companies with a goal of identifying, pursuing, and realizing opportunities that will help the organization improve its recruitment, retention, and job order fulfillment capabilities.
  • Present proposals and updates on comprehensive recruitment strategies, potential new business lines, and budgetary forecasts to executive leadership
  • Design recruiting programs that attract and engage healthcare talent and meet short and long term recruiting objectives
  • Provide strategic planning and support for both ongoing needs as well as periodic high volume staffing and recruitment projects
  • Assess and enhance current recruitment team metrics as well as related tracking methods
  • Provide management and/or new employees with education and consultation pertaining to existing and newly developed recruiting processes which include effective sourcing and candidate engagement practices, as well as pipeline maintenance and optimal negotiating and on-boarding techniques
  • Introduce and/or transition modified and/or newly created processes to the organization

Impact:

  • Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in critical delays and modifications to project/operations; cause substantial expenditure of time, human resources, and funds; and jeopardize future business activity

Liaison:

  • Frequent contact with equivalent level inter-organizational managers and customer representatives concern projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarification.  Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Partner with executive management to enhance our employment brand and value proposition to healthcare professionals
  • Work with other department heads to enhance the speed and efficiency of the recruiting process while adhering to all company and Joint Commission requirements

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5 years recruiting experience; healthcare staffing preferred

Minimum of 2 years of management experience; has demonstrable track record of building and leading teams

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrated success in developing recruitment strategies, driving process improvement, and achieving key objectives
  • Demonstrated success in critical and conceptual thinking with effective results in highly fast paced and complex situations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to collaborate with people and on projects and the ability to drive results through others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency with social media recruiting techniques
