Position Title: RT Managing Director Selling

External Description:

JOB SUMMARY:
The RT Managing Director provides leadership for their assigned operating company.  This person is responsible for all performance activities within a single (multiple) location(s), including, but not limited to, training, mentoring/motivating, business development, candidate recruiting, conflict resolution, customer service and retention, intra-operating company synergies, P&L responsibilities.  They are responsible for managing and developing a team as well as leading by example, particularly in the areas of production and business development
Greater responsibility for new sales development;  Implement strategies to capture market share;  manage sale and delivery of products/services to achieve agreed end result; budget accountability; goals and objectives management; maintain communication with established clients to ensure successful business develop
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Client Responsibilities:
  • Client relationship as needed to develop sales – proactively developing and managing existing relationships with a diverse client mix
  • Develop a working knowledge of the client’s business and provide customer expertise for others in the organization
  • Sell client personnel on organization capabilities and present and promote specific organization candidates
GP/Revenue Responsibility:
  • Personal GP quota responsibility
  • GP over $2 million per site
Freedom to act/Accountability:
  • Guidance given:  Assignments are received in objective oriented terms.  Provides guidance to subordinate supervisors or high level staff specialists based on organizational goals and company policy.  Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization’s objects and schedules
  • Policy involvement:  Establishes operating policies that affect subordinate multi-level organizational units.  Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to organizational policies
  • Understand and implement strategies designed to capture market share in the appropriate discipline(s).  Assure processes and quality performance is maintained
Supervisory/Relationship:
  • Leader by example.  Play an active role in production activities.  Build a team environment through effective leadership.
  • Establish and manage team and individual goals to achieve plan
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new associates in all areas of the business
  • Review team member’s performance at least monthly and establish individual growth plans.  Review metrics and focus weekly
Direct Work Involvement/Complexity:
  • Focus individual production activity on service and sales
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio and margins according to agreed targets
  • Specific focus on local accounts as well as other customers that will drive an increase in local account acquisition
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by organization and awareness of the competition regarding market share, pricing, services offered, etc…
  • Manage growth of new business and maintain existing business by initiating and developing strong relationships with companies and contingent employees
  • Meet revenue, margin, and contribution objectives and SG&A
  • Coordinate and interface with the team.  Facilitate activity meetings on a regular basis
  • Orchestrate the completion of a detailed business plan on an annual basis, to grow the office(s) and achieve revenues objectives
  • Effectively communicate the vision, mission, values, and goals of the organization
Impact:
  • Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to major objectives of the organization and would seriously affect the financial, associate, or public relations posture of the company.
  • Manage customer servicing and satisfaction through consistent, superior quality service.  Establish longer-term strategy and plans
  • Active participation in professional and civic organizations, including public speaking engagements
Liaison:
  • Frequent contact with equivalent level inter-organizational managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarification.  Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives
 
EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree required.  
Advanced degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field strongly preferred
 
EXPERIENCE:
3 – 6 years related business experience with strong emphasis on sales and supervision.
 
SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Proven track record of quantified sales and service abilities within a similar environment
  • Ability to develop high performing consultants and teams
  • Solid accounting skills/work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts or projects
  • Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements
  • Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills
