Position Title: Business Services Analyst

External Description:

Position Overview:  The Business Services Analyst is a mid-level individual contributor role, focused on Randstad's business and customers. The scope of role includes higher impact or more strategic activities within the Business Services team. While the Business Services Analyst is able to operate fairly independently, individuals will exercise judgment and determine when to appropriately seek guidance.  The Business Services Analyst makes financial and operational decisions on matters of significance to Randstad’s business.

Team Specific Overview:  This position is on the Credit team within Business Services. The Credit team manages the credit-granting function for all Randstad operating companies in the U.S. Credit provides the sales team with an approval or decline decision for each new customer and assigns a credit limit in accordance within established guidelines. The team also performs periodic credit reassessments or on an as-needed basis due to a change in the customer’s creditworthiness. The Credit team also manages all customer requests for non-standard credit items such as payment terms, discounts and invoicing frequencies and ensures compliance to the U.S. Approval Matrix. 

The Business Services Analyst is responsible for an assigned portfolio and provides analysis and guidance; risk management strategies and options. The Analyst may liaise with sales, field leadership, back office depts. (e.g., AR, Billing, VMS, etc.) and corporate leadership to discuss or present credit risk scenarios with a high sense of professionalism and ability to adapt communication to the audience.

The Business Services Analyst performs analysis, makes decisions and takes actions in a self-directed manner and escalates issues to management in a timely manner. Each Analyst is expected to manage a diverse portfolio and perform all related tasks efficiently and within the guidelines.  


Education & Experience (Required and Preferred):  

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Educational background in business, finance or accounting.
  • 2+ years of work experience in credit/financial analysis experience, business operations, accounting, financial analysis, or data analysis - Preferred experience in Staffing or a Service Industry 
  • Experience interfacing with the field, other teams and customers, providing positive customer experience, working through conflict or complex matters
  • PeopleSoft Experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Expert at navigating Randstad systems used by team preferred
  • Proficient using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
