Position Overview:
The Director Accounting will be responsible for leading a team of Accountants responsible for weekly and monthly close process focused on Revenue, Direct Costs and Gross Profit. The scope will include focus on process improvement and improved controls resulting in timely and accurate reporting. The position will also be responsible for implementing dashboards and analytics around our revenues and gross profit accounting. The position will also play a major role to help drive the implementation and adoption of Blackline within the Accounting department. In addition to day to day responsibilities, the position will act as a senior level representative of accounting on various enterprise level projects.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Insure integrity of accounting policies and internal controls (for general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, legal entity, operations accounting, benefits, etc) in accordance with governance standards for global enterprise.
- Implement Lean with defined metrics to measure and monitor the improvement of processes to ensure best in class customer service levels and achieve financial goals and objectives to support company goals.
- Insure timeliness and integrity of month end close, balance sheet reviews, month end reporting to Holding.
- Motivate, coach and inspire the Accounting leaders and team members to a higher level of personal success, productivity and engagement, developing and implementing succession plan for the team.
- Provide leadership and input on projects to insure on time delivery to meet company operational and financial goals.
Education & Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA and MBA a plus
- Overall minimum of 10 years with track record of career progression/promotion and growth in accounting/finance related positions in both service and manufacturing a plus.
- Capable of handling high growth, fast paced environment of constant change.
- Strong technical base in accounting policies and internal controls coupled with strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and build high performance team.
